Install
- Open the DMG and drag Runebender into Applications.
- Eject the DMG, then open Runebender from Applications.
- Choose File → Open to open your font.
Release history
Updates
The Mac app checks at launch, or choose Runebender → Check for Updates….
You can also install a newer DMG manually.
Other ways to use Runebender
Build from source on Linux or macOS, or try the browser editor.
Cargo and Homebrew registry packages are not available yet.
For local AI, install models and tools separately. See local AI setup.
First-alpha testing
Installed and launched on Apple Silicon with macOS 26.6.2. Older macOS versions have not been tested.
Full editing/save/reopen checks and automatic update installation are still outstanding.
Keep backups and use version control for your font sources.
